Landscaping

Desert Survivors offers commercial landscape maintenance to the community. We service office buildings, restaurants, retail stores, and more in the greater Tucson area.

Our crew consists of 4 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and 1 trained mentor. Mentors assist each person as they strive to reach their full potential and accomplish their personal employment goals. In the end, confident self-advocates will move on to indpendent employment elsewhere in the community.

What we do

Weeding, hand watering, trimming, debris cleanup, edging, and monitoring plan wellbeing.

Offer expert advice about low water use alternatives and hardy native plan options.

Provide a 10% discount on any plants purchased by a current landscaping customer.

What we do NOT do

Repair irrigation, lawn maintenace, apply pesticides or herbicides, install pavers or hardscapes.

Tucson Residence Foundation

Founded in 1971, Tucson Residence Foundation is a leading provider of community-based residential services for adults with intellectual & developmental disabilities in Southern Arizona. We provide landscaping services to their main office and two of their group homes.

Pima County

We are proud to be partnered with Pima County Dept. of Natural Resources, Parks and Recreation. We have two crews that maintain the Santa Cruz River Park, Chuck Huckleberry Loop from Irvington to Ina Road.

Johnny Gibsons Downtown Market

In 2015 Johnny Gibson’s was the first market to open in downtown Tucson in decades. They have a shared patio that is used by community members and customers alike. We maintain the patio and planters to make sure folks are surrounded by beautiful desert plants.

Casa Club HOA

A gated condo community located in Central Tucson, Arizona. We provide regular maintenance and are helping them transition to xeriscape. Crews remove old plantings and replace them with native, low water use alternatives.
