Staff Transitions

Desert Survivors would like to announce that two long-time nursery employees will be leaving us. Jim Verrier and Nate McDonald have spent many years devoted to our native plant nursery and the important work we do. Without them we would not be where we are today, and we are very thankful for their hard work over the years. While Jim and Nate have decided to move on and we wish them well, they will always be a part of the Desert Survivors family.

As an organization in its fourth decade of business, we know all too well that staying relevant requires the occasional pivot. Desert Survivors is first and foremost an employment services program and must always strive to meet the changing needs of the disability community. 2024 continues to be a significant year of transition for us and we are excited to see what the future brings. We hope that you will stand by us as we continue to nurture both plants and people for years to come.
